  • Create and Edit To do Steps

    Steps

    1. Create or open a To do Steps list.
    2. Set the list title and optional introduction.
    3. Optionally set estimated time and difficulty.
    4. Edit the phase title and optional phase description.
    5. Add, edit, reorder, or remove steps inside the phase.
    6. Use Add Phase when you need another stage.
    7. Add step details such as description, warning, image, video, notes, link, attachments, or a linked checklist when needed.
    8. Select Preview or View timeline to review the structure.
    9. Select Create for a new draft or Save for an existing list.

    Cover image

The cover image is administrator-managed for ordinary users. A template-created copy may display an administrator-authored cover read-only. A manually created user draft cannot inject its own cover when the user does not have the cover-management capability.

    Linked checklist

A step can optionally link to another saved Send Listy checklist. When that linked list is available, Send Listy can show its completion state and provide an Open Checklist action.

  • Browse the Step by Step Library

    Overview

Send Listy keeps Step by Step guides in a separate library rather than mixing them into the normal Templates library.

    Step by Step on Home

Home Discovery can curate up to four Step by Step guides per language. The Home card shows the guide title together with its phase and step counts and opens the official guide page.

    Language

Step by Step discovery is language-aware. Curated Home selections are independent per language.

    Notes

Step by Step content uses its own How To routing and does not masquerade as a normal Template when the user chooses to use the guide in Send Listy.

  • Use a Step by Step Guide in Send Listy

    Overview

A public Step by Step page is a read-only Master guide. It shows phases, steps, guide details, and the action Use these steps in Send Listy.

    Steps

    1. Open the Step by Step guide.
    2. Review the phases, steps, descriptions, warnings, media, notes, links, attachments, and Official Sources when present.
    3. Select Use these steps in Send Listy.
    4. Send Listy receives the guide through the dedicated How To intent.
    5. Complete any sign-in, entitlement, or plan check presented by Send Listy.
    6. Open the resulting To do Steps user copy in Send Listy and edit or save it as needed.

    Master and user copy

The public guide remains independent and read-only. Your Send Listy copy is your working list; editing or completing your copy does not change the original guide.

  • What Are Templates?

    Overview

A Template is reusable official content provided by Send Listy. It is separate from the lists stored in your personal My Lists area.

    How it works

When you use an available Template, Send Listy creates a new working list with its own identity while retaining a reference to the source Template and its version.

    Your copy is independent

Your resulting list is a user copy. Editing your list does not edit the Master Template, and later Master changes are not described as silently replacing your existing user copy.

  • Browse and Find Templates

    Overview

You can browse and search the official Send Listy Template catalog.

    Browse

The Template library supports category browsing and can identify Featured and Official Templates.

The unified Send Listy search keeps Templates as their own result type and can load additional Template results when needed.

    Language

The Template library is language-aware and can show Templates for the active language together with language-neutral content.

  • Use a Template

    Steps

    1. Open the Templates experience or a public Template page.
    2. Find the Template you want and review its preview or public details.
    3. Select Use Template or Use this checklist in Send Listy.
    4. Send Listy checks access and validates the Template against the current plan limits before creating the list.
    5. If the Template is allowed, Send Listy creates a fresh draft from the Template content and opens it in the editor.
    6. Review the new list, make any changes you need, and Create or Save it.

    Plan checks

Send Listy checks Template access and plan limits before creating the list. A Template can be shown as fitting the current plan, requiring an upgrade, or requiring sign-in for a plan check depending on the available account and plan information.

    What is copied

Supported Template content is normalized into a new list, including items and supported structured fields. For official Templates, the new list also keeps a reference to the source Template and its version.

  • Public Template Pages

    Overview

An available Template can have a public information page when its visibility settings allow it. This page represents the Master checklist, not one of your personal lists.

    What the page can show

The page can include the Template title, description, banner or featured image, country or region, language, version, verification information, checklist items, optional item details, Official Sources, related article information, and disclaimer when those fields are present.

    Use it in Send Listy

Select Use this checklist in Send Listy to open the normal Template flow. Send Listy then checks access and creates your working copy.

  • Master Template vs. Your List

    Master Template

The Master Template is the official reusable source. It has its own identity, version, language, and public presentation.

    Your list

When you use the Master, Send Listy creates a new list identity for your working copy. Your list can be edited, saved, synchronized, and shared through the normal Send Listy list system.

    Independence

Your copy keeps a reference to the source Template and its version, but it is not the Master itself. A duplicate user list also receives a new list identity and a new sharing identity rather than reusing the source list’s public link.

  • Template Access and Plan Compatibility

    Overview

Seeing a Template and being allowed to create a list from it are separate steps. Send Listy performs the final access and plan check before creating the user list.

    What you may see

    • Fits your plan when the Template fits the current known plan limits.
    • Upgrade required when its structure exceeds one or more current plan limits and a higher plan is needed.
    • Sign in for plan check when plan compatibility cannot be resolved for a signed-out user.
    • A subscription or upsell flow when the Template itself is not available to the current account.

    Notes

Send Listy checks access, plan compatibility, list limits, and user-copy creation before the Template becomes your working list.

  • Manually Managed Plans

    Overview

A manual plan is managed by a Send Listy administrator rather than by an automatic billing provider.

    Billing and renewal

My Plan labels this subscription Manual plan and Manual renewal. Automatic billing controls such as Cancel at Period End and Resume Renewal are not available.

    Downgrade requests

A manual downgrade is submitted for administrator review. Submitting the request does not change the plan and does not contact the payment provider. The current plan stays active until an administrator approves the request. Seat capacity is checked before the request is created and again before an approved plan change is applied.
