  • Downgrade a Paid Plan

    Payment-managed subscriptions

For the current payment-provider flow, a downgrade does not replace your current paid access immediately. The current plan stays active until the end of the paid billing period, and the lower plan begins at the next renewal date after confirmation.

    Seat guard

A downgrade is blocked if the target plan supports fewer accounts than the number of seats currently in use. Remove members first when necessary.

    Minimum active period

payment-provider-managed downgrades can be subject to a configured minimum active period. If the account is not yet eligible, Send Listy blocks the downgrade and tells you when it becomes available.

    Manual subscriptions

Manually managed plans do not contact the payment provider for a downgrade. The user submits a downgrade request, the current plan stays active, and a Send Listy administrator reviews the request before any manual plan change is applied.

  • Invite a Member to a Family or Business Plan

    Overview

When plan invitations are enabled and a seat is available, the plan owner can use Invite Member from My Plan.

    Invitation methods

Depending on administrator settings, available methods can include WhatsApp, Invite Link, QR Code, Email, Search Send Listy User, and Invite Code.

    Acceptance

The invitation system checks seat availability again when the invitation is accepted. Targeted email or user invitations can only be accepted by the intended account or email.

    Privacy

Search Send Listy User requires an exact email address or username and is not a public user directory. QR codes are generated locally in the browser rather than sending the invitation URL to a third-party QR service.

  • Create a List

    Overview

A new manually created list opens in the List Editor as a draft. The draft becomes a saved list when you use Create and the save completes successfully.

    Steps

    1. From Send Listy Home, use Create or choose one of the available list-type cards.
    2. In the List Editor, enter or edit the list name.
    3. Choose a List Type when it has not already been selected.
    4. Optionally choose a list icon and configure the list or item fields you need.
    5. Add or edit the list items.
    6. Select Preview if you want to check the list before saving.
    7. Select Create to save a new list. When you edit an existing list, the action is Save instead.

    What happens next

After a successful create, the list is stored as a normal Send Listy list and can be opened from My Lists. Signed-in users can also use the account synchronization flow supported by Send Listy.

    Notes

Built-in list types in Send Listy include Home, Work, Daily Tasks, Shopping, Delivery List, Travel, School, Events, Team List, Note, To do Steps, and Custom List.

  • Paid Plan Checkout

    Who owns what

Send Listy keeps billing and financial transaction handling separate from plan, subscription, seat, and entitlement management.

    Checkout flow

    1. Choose an available paid plan.
    2. Sign in or create an account when required.
    3. Send Listy validates the target plan and current account state.
    4. For a new paid subscription, Send Listy can open the configured payment-provider checkout.
    5. Complete the provider checkout.
    6. After the payment provider confirms a successful payment, Send Listy records the transaction and updates the subscription state.

    Price validation

Checkout validates the payment-provider price against the current Send Listy plan definition. Documentation should therefore not be used as the source for a live checkout price.

  • Add Items to a List

    Overview

The List Editor provides several ways to build the contents of a list. Use the method that best matches the content you already have.

    Ways to add content

    • Add Item adds a normal list item that you can edit.
    • Add Items opens the item-library flow so you can choose items from available content.
    • Add Divider adds a visual divider to the list structure.
    • Add Heading adds a heading for organizing sections of the list.
    • Quick Add adds multiple normal items from separate lines of text.

    Notes

The editor also supports item management controls such as Collapse All, Expand All, Select All, and Clear. Optional item fields are controlled separately from the item name itself.

Quick Add and Paste a List are different: Quick Add adds lines to the list currently open in the editor, while Paste a List creates a new list from pasted lines.

  • Plan Change Confirmation

    Overview

Changing an existing payment-managed paid plan requires an explicit confirmation step.

    What you review

The confirmation shows the current plan, target plan, target price, and the applicable policy: immediate/prorated for an upgrade or scheduled for the next renewal period for a downgrade.

    Confirmation

You must acknowledge the billing notice before confirming. Send Listy rechecks plan and seat eligibility at the moment of confirmation.

    Notes

No plan change is made until the confirmation is submitted successfully.

  • Getting Started with Send Listy

    Overview

Send Listy is built around a simple flow: create a list, add the content you need, review it, and share or use it.

    Steps

    1. Start a new list from Send Listy Home or the Create control.
    2. Choose a list type that matches what you want to organize.
    3. Give the list a clear name and add items. You can add items one by one, use the item library, use Quick Add, paste a complete list, or import structured JSON through Add list by AI.
    4. Use Preview to check the list before finishing it.
    5. Use Create for a new draft, or Save when editing an existing list.
6. Open the list to select items, track progress, or share it through the available sharing options.

    Notes

Some creation and sharing options can depend on the enabled Send Listy configuration, your account state, and your plan.

Create a List, Add Items, Quick Add, Paste a List, Add a List by AI, My Lists, and Share a List.

  • Add a List by AI

    Overview

Add list by AI imports a structured list into Send Listy from JSON. The current Send Listy flow expects you to generate the JSON with an AI tool, then paste that JSON into Send Listy.

    Steps

    1. Ask your AI tool to create the list in JSON format.
    2. Open Add list by AI in Send Listy.
    3. Choose a List Type if you want to override or supply the type manually. You can also leave the selector on Auto / from JSON when the JSON includes a supported type.
    4. Paste the complete JSON.
    5. Select Preview.
    6. Check the list name, item count, type, and previewed content.
    7. Select Use this list to open the imported list in the List Editor.

    JSON requirements

The imported JSON must contain a list object with an items array. Send Listy can also import supported structured properties for the list and its items.

    Troubleshooting

If Preview reports invalid JSON, check that the pasted content is valid JSON and that the list object contains an items array. Send Listy also accepts JSON copied from a fenced JSON code block because the importer removes the outer code fence before parsing.

  • Send Listy Home

    Overview

Home is the main Send Listy starting surface. the Send Listy Home layout arranges the available sections while each section continues to use its normal Send Listy data and actions.

    Home areas

Depending on the administrator’s published layout, Home can include Search and My Lists near the top, dashboard content such as Notifications, Send Again, and Progress, and utility windows such as Libraries, Tutorials, and Offers.

    Notes

The exact sections you see can vary. the Send Listy Home layout decides which owner sections are available, and Settings can provide personal visibility/order controls only for sections the administrator allows.

  • Open Home Sections and Utility Windows

    Overview

The Send Listy Home layout groups lower Home content into compact surfaces so the main screen stays focused.

    Dashboard

The Dashboard area can contain Notifications, Send Again, and Progress when those owner sections are enabled.

    Utility windows

    • Libraries groups discovery and creation resources such as Templates, item shortcuts, Step by Step, List Types, Add list by AI, and Paste a List when those sections are available.
    • Tutorials contains the Easy Video Tutorials entry when enabled.
    • Offers can contain Advertising Banners and Featured Links.

The unified Home utility-window header uses Back on the left, a centered title, and Close on the right. Back returns to the Home surface through the existing close path.
