Send Listy

Product: Send Listy Core

  • Share a List with WhatsApp

    Overview

WhatsApp sharing prepares the current Send Listy content and opens WhatsApp with the prepared message.

    Steps

    1. Open Share List and select Send via WhatsApp.
    2. Leave Include list link enabled if you want the message to contain the Send Listy link. Turn it off if you want to send the message content without the link.
    3. If the list has selected items, choose Selected items only or Entire list.
    4. Optionally enable Protect link with 4-digit code and enter exactly four digits.
    5. Select Continue.

    4-digit protection

The access code is not added to the link. Send Listy explicitly requires the code to be sent to the recipient separately.

    What happens next

Send Listy saves the current sharing settings, prepares the message, records the send action, and opens the WhatsApp sharing URL.

  • Share a List with a QR Code

    Overview

The QR Code option generates a scannable code for the same Send Listy sharing link used by the list.

    Steps

    1. Open the list sharing controls.
    2. Open Other Sharing Options or More options, depending on the sharing surface you are using.
    3. Select QR Code.
    4. Show the generated code to the recipient so they can scan it and open the Send Listy link.

    Notes

The generated QR code represents the list’s sharing URL. If the sharing URL changes later, such as after regenerating the link, a newly generated QR code should be used for the new URL.

  • Sync Lists Across Devices

    Overview

Send Listy supports account-based list synchronization. The Settings sign-in flow describes Google or Apple sign-in as a way to access and sync your lists across devices.

    Requirements

Use the same Send Listy account on the devices that should share the same synced list data.

How deletion sync works in Send Listy

For lists already synchronized with your account, a deletion is treated as authoritative. Send Listy keeps a deletion record during synchronization so an older device does not recreate a list that was deleted on another device.

If a local copy was previously synchronized but no longer exists in the current account data, Send Listy removes that stale copy. A truly local list that has never been synchronized is preserved instead of being mistaken for a remotely deleted list.

    Troubleshooting

If two devices do not show the same saved lists, first confirm that both are signed in to the same Send Listy account. Local-only unsynced lists and account-synced lists are intentionally treated differently.

  • Share a List

    Overview

The Share List panel controls the content, format, permission, and channel used to send a list.

    Choose what to share

    • Full List sends the complete list.
    • Selected items is available when the list currently has selected items and sends only that selection.

Then choose Interactive List or Text Only.

    Choose the permission

    • View only
    • Check items
    • Collaborate

The permission applies to the interactive sharing flow.

    Sharing channels

Primary options can include WhatsApp, iMessage, Send to Send Listy User, and Copy Link. Other Sharing Options can include Telegram, SMS, Email, Messenger, QR Code, Print / PDF, and Share Anywhere. The exact options shown depend on which sharing channels are enabled.

For signed-in owners, the Share List panel also provides controls to disable or regenerate the sharing link. Regenerating a link stops the previous short link from working and creates a new one.

  • Share a List with iMessage

    Overview

The iMessage option prepares the current Send Listy content and passes the prepared message to the device messaging handler.

    Steps

    1. Open Share List and select Send via iMessage.
    2. Choose whether to Include list link.
    3. If the list has selected items, choose Selected items only or Entire list.
    4. Optionally enable Protect link with 4-digit code and enter exactly four digits.
    5. Select Continue.

    4-digit protection

The code is not inserted into the link and must be provided to the recipient separately.

    What happens next

Send Listy saves the sharing settings, builds the message, records the iMessage sharing action, and sends the prepared body to the device messaging handler.

  • Print a List or Save It as PDF

    Overview

Print / PDF creates a standalone print layout for the current list and opens the print dialog.

    Steps

1. Open the list and open its sharing options.
    2. If you want only specific items, select those items and use the selected-items sharing scope.
3. Choose Print / PDF from the available sharing options or More options.
    4. Complete the action in the print dialog. If your browser or device provides a PDF destination, you can use it there.

    What is included

The print document includes the Send Listy list title, list type, scope, completion summary, progress, and printable list content. When selected-items scope is active and items are selected, only the selected normal items are printed; otherwise the full list is printed.

    Troubleshooting

If a new print window cannot be opened, Send Listy contains an isolated iframe fallback that attempts to print the same standalone document.

  • Create a List

    Overview

A new manually created list opens in the List Editor as a draft. The draft becomes a saved list when you use Create and the save completes successfully.

    Steps

    1. From Send Listy Home, use Create or choose one of the available list-type cards.
    2. In the List Editor, enter or edit the list name.
    3. Choose a List Type when it has not already been selected.
    4. Optionally choose a list icon and configure the list or item fields you need.
    5. Add or edit the list items.
    6. Select Preview if you want to check the list before saving.
    7. Select Create to save a new list. When you edit an existing list, the action is Save instead.

    What happens next

After a successful create, the list is stored as a normal Send Listy list and can be opened from My Lists. Signed-in users can also use the account synchronization flow supported by Send Listy.

    Notes

Built-in list types in Send Listy include Home, Work, Daily Tasks, Shopping, Delivery List, Travel, School, Events, Team List, Note, To do Steps, and Custom List.

  • Add Items to a List

    Overview

The List Editor provides several ways to build the contents of a list. Use the method that best matches the content you already have.

    Ways to add content

    • Add Item adds a normal list item that you can edit.
    • Add Items opens the item-library flow so you can choose items from available content.
    • Add Divider adds a visual divider to the list structure.
    • Add Heading adds a heading for organizing sections of the list.
    • Quick Add adds multiple normal items from separate lines of text.

    Notes

The editor also supports item management controls such as Collapse All, Expand All, Select All, and Clear. Optional item fields are controlled separately from the item name itself.

Quick Add and Paste a List are different: Quick Add adds lines to the list currently open in the editor, while Paste a List creates a new list from pasted lines.

  • Quick Add

    Overview

Quick Add is designed for adding many normal items to the list you are already editing. Each non-empty line becomes one item.

    When to use Quick Add

Use Quick Add when you already have a set of item names in plain text and want to append them to the current list without creating each item separately.

    Steps

    1. Open the list in the List Editor.
    2. Scroll to the Quick Add section near the end of the item-addition area.
    3. Type or paste the items, with one item on each line.
    4. Check the count shown in the Quick Add header.
    5. Select Add Items.

    What happens next

Send Listy trims each line, ignores empty lines, creates a normal item for every remaining line, adds the new items to the current list, and clears the Quick Add box.

    Notes

Quick Add does not create a separate list. To create a new list directly from pasted lines, use Paste a List instead.

  • Paste a List

    Overview

Paste a List turns plain text into a new Send Listy list. It is intended for text where each item is on its own line.

    Steps

    1. Open Paste a List.
    2. Enter a list name, or leave the name empty to use the default New List name.
    3. Choose a List Type. A type is required before the list can be created.
    4. Paste or type the items, one per line.
    5. Select Preview. Send Listy shows the parsed item count and the first items in the preview.
    6. Select Create list.

    What happens next

Send Listy removes blank lines, trims whitespace, removes common leading bullet markers such as -, * and •, and uses the remaining lines as normal items. The Paste a List flow accepts up to 250 parsed lines in one operation.

    Notes

After creation, the new list opens in the List Editor so you can review or change it. Paste a List creates a new list; Quick Add adds items to the list currently being edited.
