Complete Guide
Treat the checklist as a service tracker
Routine vehicle care is based on mileage, time, manufacturer schedules and observed symptoms. This checklist helps track what is due and what to ask the service center; it is not a universal interval chart or a substitute for inspections.
Start with the official vehicle schedule
Find the correct maintenance schedule for the model, engine or drivetrain and operating conditions. Separate routine consumables from safety recalls and warning-light issues, which may require faster attention.
Keep tire care on the recurring list
Check inflation, visible damage and wear according to the manual and road conditions. Pressure guidance comes from the vehicle placard or manufacturer, not the maximum printed on a tire’s sidewall.
Record fluid and filter service accurately
Note the dates, mileage and specifications used for oil, filters and other approved services. Do not substitute products or skip instructions for specialized systems; use qualified service where required.
Watch brakes, lights and safety symptoms
Listen for unusual changes and report them rather than performing risky tests on public roads. Safety-critical problems such as poor braking, steering issues or tire damage deserve prompt professional evaluation.
Store service records and warranty information
Keep invoices, mileage readings, replaced-part descriptions and warranty terms. Records help when selling the vehicle, diagnosing recurring problems or checking whether a service was actually completed.
Review dates and adjust for usage
Set reminders based on the manufacturer schedule and actual driving, not a fixed monthly guess. Add a pre-trip inspection for long journeys, but keep it distinct from the routine maintenance log.
